One jumper stallion qualifies for delivery via second chance
The saddle presentation for the Gelderlander and jumper stallions went well today. Through the second chance, the Chacco Bay son Cartier Z received green light from the stallion selection committee.
The three-year-old Cartier Z (Chacco Bay out of Budine keur IBOP-spr prest by Montender, bred by F. Haerkens from Oeffelt) owned by Suus Kuyten was the only one of four stallions that is expected to return for delivery. "This is an athletic stallion with light, agile movement and showed good reflexes and technique in his jumping today. If he meets all veterinary requirements, he, like the other selected stallions, can be submitted on November 11th," says senior inspector Henk Dirksen on behalf of the stallion selection committee.
Findings and advice
The selected three- and four-year-old jumper stallions were presented by their own riders, and the stallion selection committee discussed its findings with the owners present. "For a number of stallions, the advice was to present them again at a later time, as they were still a bit green. That choice lies with the owners. In general, the stallions performed well, and we look forward to the delivery." Among the Gelderlander stallions, the selected Royal King (by King Karim) is expected to return for delivery on November 4th. Rebel, the Mandienio WL son who came for the second chance, was not selected.
