Foals out of fifth level mares in KWPN Online Foal Auction
Just like in the first collection of the KWPN Online Foal Auction, dressage foals are dominant in the second edition as well. Out of a total of 23 foals, 18 are bred for dressage, and bidding will be open from July the 28th to July the 31st. Offspring of successful sport stallions such as In Style, Kyton, Fürst Dior and McLaren will come under the virtual hammer at the end of this month.
Over the past years, the KWPN Auctions platform has developed into an international showcase where breeders and buyers frequently come together. Eight editions are scheduled from July to October, and this collection is part of the second auction.
Performance families
Several dressage foals are bred out of dams who have been successful in sports themselves. The colt Troubadour Thijs CBT (s.Fontaine TN) was bred out of a mare who performed at ZZ-Zwaar/fifth level and represents an allround performance family. Also the colt Tambori (s.Glock’s Taminiau) has a dam who competed at ZZ-Zwaar level and is related on the dam’s side to Small Tour horses like Full Color (s.Vivaldi), Inspiration PF (s.Everdale) and Reduson’s Patser (s.Jazz). The Fürst Dior filly Tove Dior de Landra, was bred from a ZZ-Licht/fourth level dressage mare, while the filly Talk of the Town (s.Vaderland) is a half-sister to the international Small Tour horse Fantasy (s.Lord Leatherdale). The dam of the Barton VDL filly Tina, is a half-sister to the international Grand Prix dressage horse Helga (s.Chagall D&R) ridden by Matt Frost. Altogether, the performance genes within this collection are abundantly present.
Showjumping foals
In the jumping direction, two foals represent the solid Lottie-/Zottie damline, from which Olympic medalist Vindicat W (Peter Charles) also originates. The Mr.Cornet de Regor colt Triple Corn H.S., and the Moreno Grove colt Triumph, are both related on their dam’s side to the international 1.60m level showjumper Brown Sugar (s.Chacco-Blue), ridden by Ibrahim Hani Bisharat. The filly Timberlina JB (s.Denzel van ’t Meulenhof) originates from the well-known Oberlina damline, and her dam Niberlina JB, is a young half-sister to the international 1.55m level showjumper Glock’s Ambelina JB (s.Berlin), ridden by Robert Puck.
