On Saturday, February 1, during the KWPN Stallion Show in Den Bosch, the Dutch harness horse community will pay tribute to the Dutch Harness Horse.This evening, rightly called ‘The international stage for the harness horse,’ promises to offer a warm and festive atmosphere as the most enjoyable harness horse evening of the year. Running from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM, the program features an impressive lineup and a dynamic, varied schedule.

The evening brings together the international elite of four-in-hand driving and harness horses on a high-quality stage. The event will be live-streamed, allowing enthusiasts worldwide to join in, whether they're seated in the stands or watching from home. The harness horse evening serves as a fantastic promotion for the harness horse and is an integral part of the internationally renowned KWPN Stallion Show.

Highlights
The evening opens with a tribute to the iconic harness horse stallion Cizandro. The first segment features individual presentations of young stallions approved in 2024, including Ravensgoed W, Ricardo, Relatief, Rebel MJB, and Nicolei. It will also showcase the promising young stallion Rayan EVL, guided by Aris van Manen, who made a strong impression during the first round viewing. Additionally, there will be a musical freestyle performance by Anouk Noordman with the Gelder stallion Atze. A standout of this segment is the introduction of a new prize in the harness horse world: The Tribute Cup, in which established and emerging harness horse stars will compete in a spectacular show class. Renowned four-in-hand driving champions Boyd Exell and Dries Degrieck will serve as judges for this special competition.

Main highlights
In the second segment, young stallions selected in Ermelo will present themselves in two groups. There will also be shows and tributes to Gelder stallions, presented both under saddle and in harness. The third segment delivers the evening’s absolute highlight, starting with a clinic by international driving sport legends Boyd Exell and Dries Degrieck. This will be followed by a tribute to the breeders of the world champion four-in-hand team, the championship judging and priming, and an exciting mini-marathon for four-in-hand teams.

Oregon Trophy
The evening concludes with a thrilling competition featuring Magnifiek, Leffe Blond, Oberon, and Olympus, culminating in the awarding of the prestigious Oregon Trophy.
